Informations in English

The yellow wooden house stands in the middle of the village Appenzell, opposite to the town hall. It is 450 years old (built around 1560), has an old equipment from grandmother's time and can tell stories.

On the ground floor is a book shop. A holiday appartment with two rooms is on the first floor. I'm living in rooms on the second floor. You may lock your third floor and enjoy your privacy. Two guestrooms with bath / WC are on the 3rd floor.
The house can host up to 9 guest.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
The main church of the village and a monastery are close to our house. You'll hear their bells regularly.

The official tourist office is situated opposite to our house, on the right side of the town hall. The staff there will happily give you any information about excursions, events etc. You may ask me as well, if this office is closed.

Two rooms on the 3rd floor where also the bath / WC is are intended for 2-3 people. With one guest one of these two rooms is made available. With 4-7 guests additional rooms can be used on the 2nd floor, where I am living.

Enjoy the view! From a room with single bed, lavabo and table you see the colourful life on the place in front of the town hall. The second room with double bed gives view to the roofs of the village, to the castle and to the mountains.

Holiday appartment

The holiday appartment is on the first floor. It has a small sleeping room with french bed (1,60cm), a living room 25 m² with table and with a single bed, a small kitchen, a bath, a toilet and a balcony.

From the kitchen you see the colorful life on the place. The other rooms give view to the balcony which is decorated with plants during the warmer summer season.

Interaction with guests

I'm often working in my office at home during the day and in the evening. If you like I'll have a cup of tee or coffee with you during my breaks. If you're interested in learning more about my region and culture, maybe even to cook a typical meal of our region feel free to ask me. We could prepare a simple meal together or simply exchange about my and about your country.

House Rules

Pets are allowed on the first floor in the holiday appartment, but the rooms on the second and on the third floor are not suitable for pets.
